La Traviata
is Giuseppe Verdi's heart-rending setting of the tragic story of a beautiful young woman dying of consumption. The libretto was adapted from an 1852 play,
La dame aux Camelias
. Directed by Professor Charles Roe, this beautiful opera in three acts will feature outstanding graduate soloists, as well as the Arizona Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Choir. The production will be fully staged and costumed, and sung in the original Italian with English supertitles. This should be one of the highlights of the season!
